I would like to share my message that I sent out to everyone in my phone:, Today marks a milestone in my life. After 10 long years, today I can say I am cancer free. 8 years ago I was walking into Walmart and out front was a American Red Cross mobile truck. Something deep in side me told me to step up and give so I did. After going through the process, I was told I couldn't give due to my condition. I wasn't eligible until September 17, 2011. After the let down, it was weird, but I told the lady "It's ok ill wait. " The lady smiled and gave me a tee shirt and a blood pen. I asked why, because I didn't give and she said, "Look out that window. You see everyone walking in? You made more of an attempt then they did. " For years that statement has stuck with me. For years since I was told I couldn't do something, I told myself I would. So, today September 17, 2011 I finally did what I was told I would have to wait to do. In celebration of my milestone, I gave blood. Not that I had to, but to finish a quest I started so long ago. So, may each of you find yourself completing a quest that is most I'mportant to you in your life. Life's motto: What doesn't break us, makes us stronger.
