I have always had several discrete social groups. I have had to so that each facet of my personality could find a group to be natural with. One group will sit around a table from morning into the middle of the night, eating, drinking and discussing politics, current events, perhaps do a crossword puzzle. A second group hangs out in bars and dances to live bands, shout about not much at all. Then there are those friends with whom I ski and hike. The palaver is light and tend to be about what we are doing. Of course I have friends with whom we will solve our personal issues over dinner or drinks. It goes on ... But that is why writing a single profile becomes difficult. Do I feature that part of me which enjoys a formal dinner, a picnic or a camp stove breakfast. Yes, I own shirt studs but I generally don't wear socks. I do not expect to find anyone who will fit into all these parts of my life. So if you do not enjoy antiques--no problem. Hate to dance-- OK. I really do not care if you are liberal or conservative as long as you are not boring about it. I enjoy dating a person who is kind, honest, optI'mistic and interested in life and has a quick sense of humor. I am an intelligent, creative, laid-back person who loves to be outdoors. I would rather be doing than watching and prefer reading over television. I love to Ski, hike, backpack and sail on the one hand. On the other, I prowl art galleries, antique stores and book stores. I am always in the search of the exceptional restaurant. I also LOVE to cook, but I do not follow recipes.
