TI'me is too slow for those who wait, too swift for those who fear, too long for those who grieve, too short for those who rejoice, but for those who love, tI'me is eternity ... Henry Van Dyke, I enjoy the outdoors and spend as much tI'me as I can out in it. Is that an oxymoron? I love sailing and it is my passion. I also enjoy fishing and camping. I love to sit around the campfire at night and enjoy everyone's company. I play a little guitar and look forward to practicing this winter so that I can accompany some campfire songs. I have a great sense of humor and like "corney" once in a while. I also enjoy going to festivals and flea markets. And now for the indoors. The indoors are for cold wintery days and eating comfort food, yes I can cook, and cuddling in front of the fireplace. Maybe enjoying a good movie together or reading a great novel together. A dinner with family or good friends and a few games of euchre. I consider myself somewhat intelligent. I like to do crossword puzzles and trivia games. Anyone wanna go to the Ft. Bend Co. Fair?! ;) Must be able to dance! I'm just here checking things out. Trust and communication are a must. Other than that, I'm pretty easy going. I really don't have a "type" of woman in mind. There are countless things that could attract one to another. I enjoy just about any activity that keeps me outdoors. I like to hunt/shoot, camp, ride atvs, but at the same tI'me, have no problem sitting inside and watching a movie. I put a lot of value in family. I have a small, close-knit group of friends. I've learned over the years to hold onto the ones who count. I am not someone who has to be "out" every night. I like to be social, but it does not control my life and it is not my main priority. I like to go out and have a beer and dance just like every other guy, but in moderation. I have other things to occupy my tI'me. I have a 3yr old daughter that I devote much of my tI'me to. She is wonderful. I'm a hopeless romantic that is left wondering if there is any real romance left in the world or if we've become a society so self-absorbed that romance is a thing of the past and something you only read about in books. It seems "I love you" just doesn't mean what it used to which I find sad and tragic. I'm a big believer in "say what you mean and mean what you say". I'm a diehard sports fan. Texans, Aggies, Rockets, Astros ... I follow them all and occasionally find the tI'me to take in a game in person which I like very much. College football is my favorite by far. I'm Average Joe. I cuss, I cut up and joke, I'm serious, I cry, I love. I'm very passionate about certain things, and when I feel that something is worth fighting for, I dedicate 100% of myself to that cause. Don't ask me about politics or religion unless you have some serious tI'me on your hands. I'm very approachable and love meeting new people and seeing new places. I was in the Army on active duty for 5yrs, then did 3yrs active reserves. Following that I did a handful of years as a civilian contractor with/to the government/military. I enjoy my work, but have decided those days are behind me, as I've mentioned, I have a 3yr old daughter. I spent 2009 in Iraq and Afghanistan attached to the Marines as a civilian contractor. I guess that was my last great hoorah as far as gallivanting all over the planet. I'd like to do some more traveling as a tourist and see some of the spots I've missed. Anyway, now I'm rambling.
