Hello ... I haven't known about this dating site but for only about a week and half, Let me first give a little background about myself if I may. Starting off, I suddenly became a widower this past Christmas morning after my loving wife of 19 years passed. It's now just me and our 16 year old Son and we live about three miles outside of Shelby, N. C. I work for Easter Seals UCP where I work with clients with disabilities. At this tI'me in my life ... First ... I really enjoy family and friends ... I grew up in Sawmills, N. C. with a very loving family in which we hugged and told each other we loved each other. From my first marriage I have an daughter which now is married and they have two children ... I really enjoy being a Grandpa. I'm the type of person which helps others in need ... in whichever way I possible can ... as a child I grew up going to church every Sunday and taught to fear GOD ... also was taught to respect and not laugh at others ... also we were taught to say thank you for the little things like when someone holds the door for you ... I grew up as a country boy wearing patches on some of my pants ... wood heat ... and a tin roof overhead where you could hear the rain as it came down ... black and white TV with only five or six channels that came in clear ... also had good ole spring water growing up ... the reason for saying all this ... is to say I'm very thankful for the BLESSINGS we have got now ... I also love homemade cooking and also a good cook myself but I sure do make a mess ... LOL ... also like yard sales, car shows, shopping, sitting on the couch with someone special watching a movie and eatting nearly burnt popcorn ... also really enjoy quiet walks ... watching sunsets ... and watching the rain slowly come down ... going for a drive to the mountains for a picnic or just going fishing with the one I care for ... I'm NOT what you might call your Ken type ... I am a large man ... but if you could only just for a moment in tI'me ... take a look into my eyes ... down into my heart ... you would see the love I have to share with that someone special ... look forward to hearing from you ...
