Let’s be honest… We’re all a little embarrassed to be on here, searching for that special someone who has somehow managed to elude us in our day-to-day lives, right? I think the obligatory opening statement for these profiles is something like “I’ve never done anything like this before…” but the fact is I think we’re all looking for the same thing… someone to connect with. Will they be ‘The One’? Will it lead to a long life together with a picket fence, a dog, and 2. 5 kids?, We really can’t know until we’ve given it a solid try. So if you’re feeling adventurous, throw your skepticism to the wind, read a little more about me, take a look at my pictures (and yes, I realize that posting photos of myself playing with baby elephants is essentially cheating when it comes to getting your attention… but can you blame me?), and then decide for yourself if you think we could “connect. ”, To start with, I’m a genuinely nice guy. Too nice, perhaps, since it hasn’t seemed to help me thus far in finding that special gal, but it’s just who I am. I was raised in a traditional household and taught to respect women. I believe that chivalry still has a place in our society, and I try my best to demonstrate that belief whenever I can. If the idea of a nice guy who’s interested in treating you well and respecting your ideas doesn’t appeal to you, you needn’t read any further. I love life. I love living every possible moment of it. When I’m bored, I daydream and plan exotic trips to unique destinations… and then I take them. Ok, so not everywhere I’ve gone has been exotic, but I try to make a unique experience out of every travel opportunity I’m given! Thus far, I’ve been to Aruba, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, England, France, Greece, Holland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Monaco, Scotland, South Korea, Spain, Thailand, and have seen about a third of this amazing country of ours. I lived in S. Korea for 2 years while teaching English as a Second Language, and found living in a country and culture significantly different from my own to be an amazing experience. I want to see the rest of the country and so much more of the world before my tI'me here is up! Don’t get my wrong… I can be very happy and content keeping it local. I recently bought a house and I love just hanging out on my back deck in the summer, listening to the sounds of the neighborhood and taking in the fresh air. But every so often, I just get stir crazy and need to go somewhere new and exciting! If you’ve also got a love of adventure and spontaneity, maybe we’ve got some common interests after all…, Finally, it’s probably better if I just toss aside the euphemisms and clue you in to the fact that, from a medical standpoint, I’m overweight. I’m not morbidly obese or anything, but there’s no two ways about it… I've got some padding. Part of my whole “loving life” thing means I also love food. I like trying new foods and I haven’t found too many foods that I couldn’t stomach (yeah… lame pun). But I also value health and fitness. I have a gym membership and I try to go at least 3 or 4 tI'mes a week. I walk my dog for several miles every day. And during the warmer months, I take long bike rides as often as possible. I’m not as healthy as I could be, but I’m working on it. I just figure this is worth pointing out because we’re all going to be a little wary of what anyone says about their looks, their physique, or their lives in general on this site… why not just cut to the chase? If you’re looking for a guy with a chiseled physique, perfect hairline, and a flawless complexion, I’m not your guy. If you’re up for a guy who’s put some miles on his body by living his life and indulging his senses… Well, maybe we should chat! Alright, this is already too long, so I’ll stop here.
