Let me see ... I am a military retiree, and a father of 2 boys (living with me). My sun sign is Libra, with an ascending sign of Taurus. I am financially comfortable and in fairly good physical shape (exercise several tI'mes a week). Being retired, I now have the opportunity to sI'mply "slow down", enjoy, and appreciate the smaller things in life. I also teach online college courses from my home. I am your basic, down to earth, fun-loving guy. A music lover at heart ... mainly Jazz, Old School, R&B, light Rock, Reggae, Blues, and a little Rapp). I am not an outdoors person by nature (not into nature's creepy crawlies), but do enjoy the beauty of nature. I generally make an effort to avoid drama of any kind (even drama movies!), and live my life by seeking the positives in people I meet - rather than searching for their negatives (we all have them if we look hard enough). I prefer to think of myself as spiritual rather than religious. Rather than chose from one of the many religions that surround us, I would much rather live my life by doing my best to be the best person that I can be, and treat others as I would like to be treated. It's worked pretty well for me so far ?, I love to try new things, and have plenty of energy. I have a special love for rain storms (not lightning!); reading to relax (Dean Koontz; Stephen King); Chinese food; weekend getaways; and working on my hobby (electronics and gardening). For movies, I like those that make me laugh (comedies), those that entertain (Horror, Sci-Fi, Thriller, and "some" action). I don't do Drama or Racial "fiction" movies. I also don't do funerals (I'm not even coming to my own!). SI'mply put ... I love laughter and good tI'mes!:), Friends first, and see where it goes. Since the separation from my wife, I have no desire to rush into another "relationship", but I am realistic enough to know that the heart carries an emotion that we have no control over ... So anything is possible. I'd like to meet someone who is mature enough to have some control of their life (emotionally, physically, and financially), and still young enough (or not emotionally damaged) at heart to enjoy life's pleasures. Someone who has a warm heart, open mind, caring soul, and a sense of humor. I strongly believe that a relationship without communication can't exist for long, and one without humor is boring. I believe that you should be able to just be "yourself" with a person - and grow, and not have to "walk on egg-shells" or lose your personal identity. The road I travel is fairly uncomplicated and I believe that every day of your life should be filled with as much "fun" as possible ... Life is too short :)
