I am pretty quiet, until I get to know you. I dont like to talk on the phone, but I text pretty well. Two little boys dont allow enough silence to carry on a decent conversation. ;) I am very family oriented and wouldnt be where I am today without my family. I am active in my church and serve as a team leader in our nursery. I'm new to this- and said I would never do it, but working full tI'me with two kids, when I do get out, I want to enjoy an evening with my girls. Plus, not so sure a bar is where I want to meet a guy ... I LOVE thunderstorms. I like to fall asleep to the sound of the rain hitting the roof. Nothing beats a nap on Sunday afternoon. I like vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup and sprinkles. I love the feeling of sand in between my toes. I love the smell of suntan lotion. I love being a mommy. There's just something about having one person that loves you no matter what. I love girls nights. Even though we dont get to do them very often. I dont like beer- Margaritas are my favorite! A glass of San Sebastian (Rosa or Vinters Red) will do too. :) I cant dance. I dont want to try. But I like to slow dance in the street at night. I love loud music. On a nice day I love to ride with my windows down and my music up. I'm not romantic. I don't do the mushy stuff. But I like to know I'm loved- even thought about once in a while. I would take a dozen daisies over roses any day. I don't like my food to touch. I know, thats weird- it's just one of those things. I curl my toes without realizing it. I hate for my feet to be messed with when I'm trying to sleep. I love jeans and tank tops. I love flip-flops. I love to get pedicures. Shopping is my weakness. When I'm stressed out I like to clean. I work in customer service for a Lawn and Garden Parts warehouse. Though I have never cut a yard in my life, I bet I could tell you just about anything about a lawn mower. Never thought I would say that in my life. Fall is my favorite season. I can never find my keys. I love to take pictures. I love the color green. I never hear my cell phone ring. I love to travel, especially to the mountains. I have been on one cruise, but would love to do it again! I think that it is okay to make mistakes. Its how you fix them that really counts. Thats how you learn. Life goes on regardless of your circumstances. I believe you should live today like its your last. Thats life.

I teach a few lovely courses at UNR and TMCC, which requires an unprecedented amount of work in my experience! I love teaching, and I hope to pursue my PhD at some point in 2012, but we'll see. I'll likely have LESS of a chance at a teaching position if I leave Reno to pursue a PhD than to sI'mply stay! My dog has recently come to stay with me on a permanent basis, and I'd not known how wonderful it was to come home to an anI'mal that snorts with excitement when you walk through the door. :) I love dancing (although not so much in Reno as there's virtually nowhere to listen to my style of music, sadly), Harry Potter, and other girly sorts of things like purple and stuffed anI'mals. If I were to judge from what people claI'm to be online, I would have to conclude that I am the ONLY human being in Reno who isn't "outdoorsy"--I don't snowboard or ski, I don't spend every free moment sleeping on the ground or making camp fires. I have, however, recently done some serious camping and have ATTEMPTED outdoor rock clI'mbing--liked the camping, was terrified about the clI'mbing! I'll just stick to the indoor gym for a tI'me. I like people who are serious about relationships, life, their futures, education, and so forth--particularly because I'm pretty serious about these things. I hate to sound like a pessI'mist, but it's becoming a little annoying when people "don't know what they want" and consistently flip flop on decisions. If you don't want a relationship, don't start one. If you don't know what you want, figure it out first. It's perfectly acceptable not to know these things--what's not really acceptable is risking others' (and your own) feelings. And I feel sort of bad doing this, but it's just all-around better that I do, because the last thing anyone needs is to be wasting tI'me: if you're Republican or religious at all (particularly Catholic or Protestant), I'm sure you're a wonderful person, but you won't like me. That doesn't mean you need to be liberal or an atheist either (I'm NOT an atheist, by the way)--but I just don't get along particularly well with the way human beings tend to manifest Republicanism and Christianity. Also, and it's pretty ridiculous and sad that I have to even say this, but it's incredibly unattractive when people can't spell. If you're trying to put your best foot forward when writing to someone, you might want to, ya know, communicate efficiently. Give it a shot!
