I'm a German/Native American Hoosier guy from SW Indiana. Prior to moving to Louisville, my hobbies were woodworking, blacksmithing, horseback riding, reading and hiking/camping with the occasional bit of computer gaming. Now that I'm in the city, my hobbies are pretty much work, cooking, reading and a little more than a bit of computer gaming. If you know what LotRO is, then we have something in common. I occasionally like to take a weekend at a cabin in the Asheville, NC area just to relax and blow off steam. Beautiful country in that area for camping, hiking, etc. One of my goals was to work for a company I could respect with people I like. Having found that, I guess my next goal is to find someone with whom I can share my life. I wouldn't call myself unique, though I know there are people who would argue that, lol. I come from eight generations of military family, and served my own bit in the Army. I like to write, mostly fantasy and science fantasy with a smattering of poetry sprinkled in there somewhere. I consider myself to be an above-average cook. I've done a lot of things in my life and therefore I'm kind of a Jack-of-All-Trades. I've been a logger, a landscaper, a soldier, a bartender and a massage therapist. I've traveled to every US state (except Hawaii and Maine) as well as parts of Mexico, Canada, Panama and Africa. I majored in English in college, dropped out and became a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator instead. My two main non-alcoholic drinks of choice are coffee and milk. My tattoos glow under black light. There's more, but you'll have to ask to hear it. My taste in music is fairly broad, though the following makes up the bulk of my listening pleasure: Pink Floyd, Bruce Springsteen, Johnny Cash, Rammstein and Pachelbel. Oh ... and probably more Pink Floyd ... Favorite Quote: "All your better deeds shall be in water writ ... ", Key strength: I know who I am, intI'mately and honestly. I know where I am from and where I plan to be in life. I have no soul-searching to do, I have no need to "find" myself. The man you meet is the man I will be forever--there will be no surprise "I need space to get in touch with myself" 10 years down the road. I'm looking for a woman with a good, open heart and who is a strong-willed, independent thinker. I'm looking for someone who doesn't mind just sitting together watching a movie or just listening to a thunderstorm by candlelight. I'm not big on the club/bar scene, but am up for it on occasion with the right person.
