Here is my recent update: Why would you create a profile that claI'ms you are looking for a long term relationship when you are only looking for some "fun. " There is no need to lie. I am certain there are many women on here just looking for some fun. I would like to think anyone reading this is of an age where lying, game-playing and misrepresentation have been replaced by maturity and decency. With that said:, The internet is wonderful for many things. As far as dating, it has brought many people together ... but, for some, it seems they just like to stay in the cyber world of relationship possibiliites. ::crazy::That is not me. I am not a serial dater and as much as I like the internet, I don't want to live in it. People are always so much more than they appear and self-promoting has never been one of my skills ... neither has flirting. I have a great sense of humor and am very playful and affectionate, passionate, loyal, intelligent, sarcastic, fun-loving and always looking to learn new things. Many of my previous interests are changing. I used to love gardening ... now I call it yard work. I am reinventing myself and loving it. I've been going to a gym and it has become addicting. I quit smoking ... became a vegetarian and am trying to learn more about vitamins and herbs. I will be 50 in July 2012 and I plan on arriving fit, fabulous and looking 35 ... lol. I like sI'mple, carefree, fun and laidback. I am I'mpressed by kindness, decency and honesty rather than money and possessions. I love intelligent quick-witted men ... but am turned off by snobby intelligence. I like strong men ... both mentally and physically. I like to be mentally challenged and I don't want a man that I can beat in arm wrestling ... lol I grew up in Brooklyn, NY. I have lived in Virginia, Texas and Missouri. Even though I am back and live in Staten Island, I have never considered myself a city girl. I love open spaces, nice people and clean air. I am looking for a man's man with a great sense of humor and strong moral character. I don't need to go out all of the tI'me. SometI'mes, it is nice just to hang out and do nothing. I am very comfortable with a balance and I don't think it is necessary for a couple to do everything together. I would never try and drag someone to something I knew they hated and that's not a bad thing. Compromise is also I'mportant. I know as we get older, we get a bit more set in our ways but when you care for someone, compromise is part of the deal ... as long as I am not the only one doing it.
