Grew up in WA state, was living in downtown Portland for the last three years while going to PSU. I just finished my graduate certificate in teaching Engish, and hope to spend a few years overseas teaching before finishing my PhD. I hoping for Korea, just spent the Summer over there. I love to travel so I look forward to seeing lots of places in Asia during my tI'me off. I have been to Japan several tI'mes and really got attached to the culture there, And the last two Summers I spent a month over Europe, hoping to get back there again as soon as possible. I'm a cook at a Korean BBQ restaurant nearby, and I take my work home with me, cooking is a big passion of mine. Most of the rest of my free tI'me is spent with the love of my life, music. Going record shopping, listening to records, and playing guitar ... kind of my thing. I also try to get out and tool around on the bike when the weather is nice, I like to go for long walks around town as well. I usually have a book on me at all tI'mes. I'm really into old movies and foreign films, especially Japanese period films and samurai flicks. I try to avoid religion and politics in general, not because I don't have strong opinions but more because I think everyone just likes to hear themselves talk, so I would prefer to keep my lips sealed until I actually have something to say and find myself with open-minded company.

Trying to describe myself without using the same words and lines you've read over and over again, is not easy. The truth is, I'm not like most guys. Not at my age anyway. By now you should know that men are visual creatures who crave sex and career - - and women are the more emotionally driven species who crave security and stability.
