I've recently returned to The States after having lived for the past nine years in Sweden. After all that tI'me overseas I thought a change of pace and fresh start was in order, so what better place to do that than Santa Barbara? I studied at UCSB years ago and loved Santa Barbara in general, and now I'm moving to SB in order to live and work there for the foreseeable future. As far as hobbies go, as of late (or since April anyways) I've been doing alot of Bikram Yoga. In addition to that I'm a big fan of trail running. I used to do it alot when I lived in SB in the past and now I probably trail run about 20+ miles a week while I'm living in the Sierras before my move to SB in early October. I also read quite a bit. At this point I'm trying to find a good fit for my academic background. It's mostly within international relations, so hopefully there is something within that area in SB, working in some form at UCSB would also be ideal. I thought I was going to live in Sweden forever, so it's been a bit of a 180 where my goals and life path are concerned. Being an expat for so long, traveling and living I'mmersed in an alien culture for the past nine years has probably given me a worldliness and perspective that is beyond the ordinary, at the very least I can always find something to talk about. When it comes to musical taste, it's pretty cheesy to be honest. Alot of 80's, but also Euro-pop music and other sI'milar music.
