As you can probably tell by my user name, I enjoy cooking and I do collect cookbooks. In the past, I also loved to ride horses although I haven't ridden for a few years, I still could. I enjoy being outdoors whether mowing grass or just out on the deck. I love to dance although, again, haven't been for awhile. No fun going to a dance alone ... Some of my hobbies, in addition to cooking, are sewing, my computer, fishing, camping, both growing and receiving flowers, some spectator sports, and bowling, although I haven't bowled for several years. I also enjoy stock car races (drove for 4 years when they had powder puff races). I also enjoy playing cards such as Rook, UNO, Rummy, Spades and well as checkers and other board games. I used to hunt (haven't for awhile) and also used to square dance but haven't for quite a few years as it is best if you have the same partner to dance with all the tI'me. I do enjoy eating out occasionally but not necessarily regularly. I have 2 children, 6 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandsons. I am honest, upfront and looking for the same in a gentleman who also knows how to treat a lady as a lady. He must be honest and sincere. I do not feel my age and am told that I usually act younger also. I am a non-smoker and would prefer the gentleman be a non-smoker also as I am allergic to smoke, and please be a non-tobacco user in any other method also. Unfortunately, though I think cats are cute, I have developed an allergy to them also so even though I am just a country gal at heart, my allergies do dictate certain things that can and can't be in my life. I do tend to call things as I see them. I don’t want to hurt anyone but I won’t sugar coat or lie about it either. The saying “what you see is what you get” could apply. I am looking for someone who enjoys life and shares some of my interests if not all of them and am open to sharing new interests with hI'm also.
