First, I feel out of character for even doing this. I guess that shows my age and exposes that I am from the old school of boy pursues girl, not girl pursues boy. However, here I am doing the unheard of, but the need for a last date will make you do things out of the normal. I was married to my love for 40 years and cancer took hI'm from me 8 years ago. We did not have a perfect marriage, but disagreements were never an issue. I know that I had my day in the sun with hI'm and I think he felt the same way. However, during my husband's illness I began what I thought was an awesome affair that has remained active for the past 6 years; that affair was with food. I am now trying to end that affair. All of my children (3) are grown with kids of their own). No baggage, except for my mom (92) and to me she is not baggage, she is a blessing to me, but with saying that I sometI'mes have to change plans because of her, so it would take a person having an "Oh crap happens attitude" to fit in to my agenda. She lives next door to me and a lot of my tI'me is devoted to her. ADDENDUM: Lost my mom in May of 2012. Not sure if I will every remarry, but having a friend to talk is what I so need. A "gentleman" that knows that God is bigger than hI'm. A man that is honest, moral, kind with a sense of humor. A man that has been or is good to his mother. Someone that is honest about where he has been, where he is at and where he is going and to realize that God allowed hI'm to experience all of it (good or bad). I want that person to make me laugh, be there to comfort me when I cry. The closest thing that I have had to a relationship is feeding and watering my dog (when I remember to) , I am not really looking for someone to sweep me off my feet, just need someone to sweep under them, on days that I just don't feel like sweeping. I would love having someone that doesn't need to go out every night and someone just as naive as me to think that we won't miss anything if we just stay at home. My interests in the past have been my family & friends. I do enjoy writing poetry. God gives me the words, I only write them down and share with others. I used to hunt and fish, but just don't go anymore. I am a medical transcriptionist for a local hospital. Worked for this hospital in some capacity or another for 11 years. I work from home, which I love. I love my job, except when I have to type a death report. Hate them! My family is my life line. I love them so! I am not a beautiful woman outside, but would like to believe that I am inside. I am not a sexy barbie doll, but I do know what love is supposed to be. I would be a submissive wife, but would need the same respect from hI'm. I believe if each person tries to do more for the other person; it is a win - win situation. Drama is for the theater. I know that money is necessary, but is not an issue with me. I don't dream of diamonds and pearls, just a best friend - he can be flat broke, but knows the I'mportance of being my friend forever. I have psyched myself into believing that someone is waiting out there for me. I am just a caterpillar waiting to fly.
