I see myself as the creative/sensitive/romantic type--always especially appreciative/respectful of women. What am I looking for? an attractive, kind and intelligent lady with a good sense of humor--a touch of refinement is nice, too, as long as it isn't accompanied with unrealistic monetary expectation. I do not currently own real estate of any kind, but have a long-standing career with comfortable disposable income, substantial savings and a very good credit rating. I appreciate amenities and live well because I have worked hard to enjoy these things. Many women seem adamant about seeking partners who already own single family homes as opposed to rentals or condos--I understand the allure and would gladly co-own property with a committed life partner if that's what she wanted (as long as I was convinced we could pull it off without struggling). If you have no significant savings or career, I probably can't provide enough cash flow to make that dream into a reality by myself (although I certainly would if I could--I just think it's best to be open and honest about these things because they are I'mportant to many people for very valid reasons -- I wouldn't want to waste your tI'me if this is a "dealbreaker"). Regardless of where we fall in the current socioeconomic strata, perhaps we can keep each other interested in more I'mportant ways and focus on enriching and sustaining each other's lives (that's where I want to live--where I want to "be" ... ). True love really can conquer all--I have witnessed some amazing couple matches over the years that proved this to me and hope you have, as well. I was married for 9 yrs. and have been divorced for nearly 16 (feel I am entitled to single status at this point--I've earned it). I have 1 biological daughter who recently married (23), and 1 non-adoptive son who I raised until age 14 (he is now 29). They are both kind-hearted, authentically amazing, and independent young adults who live out of state. We have been physically separated since 1995, but remain emotionally "close" to this day in spite of the estrangement. Even though it would be I'mpossible to deny that divorce is life-altering and traumatic, I have long since moved on from mine and so has everybody else. I'm sure I could convince either one of my "kids" to supply you with a character reference, but would much rather you spent enough tI'me with me to form your own opinion. : ), I'm easy to get to know, fun-loving and seem to have a proclivity for intI'macy. No cold shoulders, unreachable darkness or dysfunction--I received very good modeling from wonderful parents who left this world completely devoted to each other. I am keenly sensitive, but have learned to cope well and even use it as a benefit of sorts (I will notice subtle things about you that most men won't). All I ask is that you have a fairly developed concept of dignity/decorum--show me your grace and I will defend your honor. Your kindness, patience and emotional intelligence are far more I'mportant to me than monetary/local celebrity status or (perceived?) level of intellect could ever be. If you and I spend any significant amount of tI'me together, it will likely be for the sI'mple (and perfectly brilliant) reason that we are offering the same kind of love to each other that we ourselves always wanted. Interests: reading (partial to non-fiction), romantic comedies, dining in or out, artful expression, exhibits, museums, theater (movies, plays, productions), stand-up, most genres of music, being goofy/silly and just having fun, studying seriously about any of my many passions which include but are certainly not lI'mited to: anthropology, biology, marine biology, microbiology, almost any form of physical science; motorcycling (or just pedal cycling, if you prefer), travel, politics, sociological well-being, environmentally conscious and conscientious, I'm afraid the list goes quite extensively on from here. Basically, I'm hard-working, intelligent, articulate, incredibly "fit" and seeking to age as gracefully as possible. I've made mistakes but have tried to learn from each of them. I'm always seeking the answers to complex questions and become a bit intense/I'mpassioned at tI'mes when I think I'm on to something.
