My favorite activities include making dinner with friends and family and having spirited conversations about pretty much anything; snowboarding in deep powder on a clear winter day; racing sailboats or "just messing about" on the water; playing mixed doubles on the courts; scuba diving (in warm water, preferably!); rock-clI'mbing (outdoors rather than in). It's been a few years since I've been as active as I'd like but am interested in sharing those activities again. Avid interests include cars, motorcycles, houses and remodeling, music, food and wine, kids, dancing, design, travel ... Quiet evenings can be cozy with a fire, music, a glass of wine, and a movie or a book. Going out--movies, theater, ballet, music, galleries, dinner, athletic events--is fun, too, especially trying something new! Some special favorite things include: sailing and watching the stars come out, riding pillion on a motorcycle, summer mornings, hitting the perfect backhand, a ’67 Red Camaro SS or a ’53 MG (maybe someday Santa will bring one!), picnics, the smell of the ocean, “Spring” snowboarding before Halloween, sun sparkling on water, the smell of a campfire, leaves changing to red and gold in the fall, rain on tin roofs, “lipstick sunsets”, silk, vintage red wine in a balloon glass, ripe tomatoes and fresh basil, white flower gardens on summer nights, meteor showers, comfortable old blue jeans, art, Scrabble, books, concerts at wineries, dressing up, dark chocolate and champagne, candlelight, lace, the first sip of coffee in the morning, daffodils in SpringtI'me, fog, being pleasantly tired after a good workout at the gym, waking up to the sound of the surf… Life is definitely not a spectator sport; it should be lived to its fullest with a huge smile on your face!

I would like to think that I am an above average person. I think that I have the quick wit and vivid I'magination that is needed to make through the craziness that I see everyday. Show no fear and the other crazies will leave you alone. My interests include Reading, Cooking and Traveling. I love classic movies. The ones with Judy, Joan and Bette. I also like romantic comedies and dramas. Occasionally I like the bad B movies. If it is hosted by Elvira it has to be good right? Basically a homebody. I like to relax in front of the TV most nights in a comfortable pair of sweats and a nice martini. I do like to go out from tI'me to tI'me. Just have not had much opportunity or desire to do so lately. I try to take at least one awesome trip a year. Went to New Orleans in June and had a blast touring the city. I have been overseas during my short Naval Career and would love to revisit Italy and Greece someday with someone. Guess I will have to finally get that passport. I am looking for a friend first. I am low maintenance and look for the same. I have done the instant boyfriend thing and it has not worked out. I like to get to know a guy first and let a relationship progress naturally. Like a man that can keep up a witty, intelligent and sometI'mes catty conversation. That may be why I have been single for so long. The best first date for me is a casual one. Dinner and a movie sort of thing. Don't stress the romance right away.
