Alright people. I’m not all that great when it comes to describing myself, so adjust your expectations accordingly. :) First off, I’m a brand new resident to the state of California (1 more driver to compete with during rush hour). I just moved here from the not-all-that-great state of Tennessee. And in case you’re wondering, yes, I have all of my teeth and no, I don’t know any hillbillies (unfortunately). So far, I’m really enjoying things out here and I’m looking for someone to help me figure out why in the world people like the Lakers (shots fired!). Lol! As you can probably tell, I’m a little on the sarcastic side, but humor’s a big thing with me (courtesy of where I’m from). I’ve been fortunate enough in my life to have an awesome family (and a great cast of friends) and they’ve all helped to shape me into the goofy yet charming person that I am today, especially my parents. They were lucky enough to be married for 37 (!) years before my dad passed away, but throughout my life, they both taught me how to enjoy the little things as well as find humor in just about everything. Obviously, there more to me than any two words can say, though. Being raised in the south, I’ve also inherited a lot of the old fashion values and manners that people associate with a “southern gentleman. ” Think Matthew McConaughey…without the looks…or accent :|. Still, manners (good luck trying to open a door or pull out your own chair), courtesy (I’m a yes|no ma’am|sir kinda guy) and honesty (“A gentleman would be ashamed should his deeds not match his words. " - Confucius) are a big part of who I am. Anyway, the section below is taken from my OKC account since I didn't feel like reinventing the wheel. :), What I’m doing with my life:, Professionally, I'm a Microsoft certified database administrator (DBA), which is a fancy title for someone that just stares at a computer screen all day, but it pays well and has job security. When I'm not staring at a computer screen at work, I'm usually reading (mostly physics, cosmology, or technology-related books), working out, creating culinary masterpieces (or masterfailures), traveling a bit when I get a chance, watching movies (my favorite pastI'me), or relaxing and listening to music. I’m really good at:, Listening, putting things together, sarcasm, knowing when to keep my mouth shut, following directions, cooking, being a perfect gentleman, remembering stuff, and listing things I'm really good at. The first things people usually notice about me:, Well, my eyes are usually the first thing. If not that, then it's usually my smile, sense of humor, physique, or eyebrows (not sure why people focus on them - they're just eyebrows!). After that, it's anybody's guess.
