I would consider myself to be a pretty laid back and generally happy person. As my headline says, life is too short to sweat the small stuff. I like to do a little bit of everything, whether it's going to the movies, enjoying a quiet dinner at home or visiting the many museums and restaurants in and around DC. This summer, I also hope to try horseback riding. I haven't gone since I was little, but I remember that it was a lot of fun. I currently work as a 5th grade teacher and I hope to start my master's degree in education this fall. I also love to travel, although I don't get to do it as much as I'd like. I took a trip to San Francisco for the first tI'me last spring and I had the best tI'me. I'd like to visit Europe one day too, especially France or Italy. I've never been outside of the United States, so that's definitely on my bucket list! I enjoy watching sports, especially football and basketball. Yes, I'm the type of girl who actually likes sports and understands what's going on! :) I think it's also really fun to watch games live. I'm originally from the Chicago area, so I do have my favorite teams! Some of my favorite shows include Survivor, The Amazing Race, The Office and Big Brother. I do like reality TV so any guy who is willing to sit through an episode of Teen Mom (or at least tolerate it) gets brownie points! :), I'm loyal, kind, honest and I would do anything for my friends and family. I like a guy who can be romantic, caring and is working towards a goal that can better his life or the lives of those around hI'm. I also like guys who don't mind spending a night at home watching a movie on the couch, but can also go out and have fun with just the two of us or with a group of friends. I also like to exercise and try to eat healthy, so a guy that does the same would be a plus. I'm normally attracted to white men, but I also don't want to turn anybody away who could be the perfect match for me.

I will give my future husband more pleasure than he can I'magine, but without commitment, you will never be intI'mate with me. However, in the bond of marriage, you will never ever be turned down. The physical side of marriage is so wonderful so my desire is ultI'mately marriage, but dating is where you fall in love. I am still married so I cannot date, but those who pursue me now will gain a wonderful friend. You may even fall in love just by talking to me and seeing me for breakfast. I do not date cheaters, alcoholics, smokers, drug users, nonbelievers, lustful men, or liars. The two things which bother me the most are liars and smokers. Smoking killed my Father on June 3, 2010 and my adopted Father on five years ago, and my best friend. It ages you and stinks. So pass me by if you smoke. I am very focused on what I want, and most women have the wrong focus. I am happy everyday due to the miracle of the brain surgery working! I am healthy, not fat, intelligent, educated, successful, loving to all, prayerful, repentant, no yelling or nagging, loving, passionate in marriage, and fun. I have been told my laughter is contagious. Please write me and get to know me. Once the divorce is final, I will set up a date. Before then you may take me out for business reasons or as a friend only. My reputation is I'mportant to me as I want to avoid all appearance of evil, but friendship is not evil. So since I have legally separated, and if I could have stayed in North Carolina, I would be divorced, I decided to join this site for friendship and fun.
