Hey, I'm from Chicago, IL but residing in Denver, CO. Moved here to pursue a Masters of Geography, which I have a B. A. in. Let me start by saying, I'm a White Sox fan, not a Cubs fan! Other than that I'm a general Chicago sports fan- Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks. I own a cat and she is a sweetheart. She fell into my lap and is pretty cool, so I keep her around. With that said, I'm an anI'mal lover and owned many different types of anI'mals through my life. I'd like to get a dog, but not anytI'me soon. I enjoy a person who is intelligent and able to express their ideas and beliefs with some vitality. Personally, I'm serious about my beliefs (especially politics) and look forward to healthy debates with others. I regularly hike, boulder and bike with my friends and really enjoy being out and about, so I would be into someone who isn't afraid of getting their hands dirty. Also getting back into my highschool sport of (sabre) fencing, which is very exciting. Anyone up for a quick bout?, I'm a big fan of aesthetic pleasures such as movies, art, music, dance and anything that stirs the mind and soul. I love dramas, documentaries and foreign films. College taught me to appreciate baroque art and architecture, as well as city planning (and politics behind it). Music is a guilty pleasure to me! So much is communicated through various types of musical expression that it is hard for me to prefer or defer different types. I did grow up with heavy influences in blues, classic rock and heavy metal. As for dancing I enjoy hip hop, bachata and line dancing, but hope to learn more. A few tI'mes a week I visit the arcade, and also play xbox (irregularly). I'm looking for someone who is a glutton of aesthetics! Someone who indulges every sense in their everyday experiences with passion and truth. I read often for self-education. I'm not really into novels, however my favorite author is Ray Bradbury. I prI'marily read about politics, the industrial food system, economics, geography of place ... aka. a lot of nerdy stuff. Regardless, I love discussing and exchanging books. Sharing knowledge is a preferred social experience for me. I'm also a fan of TEDtalks and various types of related sites. Currently, I work as a valet, however looking for something more substantial which is difficult in this economy. Valeting keeps me in shape and I get a chance to read, but not my thing. I would really like to work in GIS, water resource management, traffic, emergency or city planning. On Mondays, I also volunteer in a kitchen, preparing meals for homeless folks in Denver. It turned out being more fun than I originally I'magined.
