Hey there, my name is Sydney. I am just giving this a shot because it always seem as if I run into the douche bags. I am not very good at sitting here talking about myself so we will see where this goes. So a little bit about me. I was a lifeguard on Fort Bragg, and I loved my job. I love kids! Which is why I am going to school to be an elementary school teacher. I am attending UNC Charlotte and majoring in elementary education with a concentration in math and a double minor in psychology and musical performance. I also am a band geek. I play the clarinet, piano, and alto sax. I love being a girly girl and looking all cute, but at the end of the night, I can still sit around playing video games and be just one of the guys. I listen to all kinds of music including country, christian, and pop. I love the outdoors; white water rafting, tubing, bungee jumping, etc. I love going to the beach and just having a relaxing weekend as well. I am not really going to specify what type of guy I am looking for but I will say I want commitment. I am not a fan of being used for a one night stand, or just being another girl.

It is hard for me to describe my personality. I find that different people and situations bring out different aspects of me. I love life and find I enjoy being with people who do also. I am at a stage where I need to "move on" and am not sure which direction I will take. I would like to make new friends and try some new things. I really want to find a committed relationship but i don't rush in to those. I need to get to know people so that sense of "belonging together" grows naturally. I know that I need to be with someone with a good sense of humor, curiosity, and intelligence; someone not threatened by not knowing everything but rather who loves exploring and learning; certainly not someone who is threatened by an intelligent partner. I need someone who wants to share life honestly, lovingly and happily with a best friend. The I'mportance of integrity comes to mind. Chronological age is not as I'mportant to me as emotional maturity/stability and physical fitness. If you feel that you might enjoy the same things I do and "fit the bill", I would like to get to know more about you. If you have a page, I think that is a nice introduction.

He would be a good and caring person, speaks his mind subtly, and be a leader, not a follower. Someone who knows who he is and is not afraid to show it. This may be a long shot, but I am always hopeful that there are a few good men out there. I am open to many different ideologies and interests.
