Well maybe I should start by listing some of my beliefs and passions. With that said, a few of my beliefs ... I believe in God, the love of my life. I believe in personal responsibility, fidelity, loyalty and honesty. I believe a smile can change a strangers day. I believe in getting your pets from the shelter. I believe in opening doors for the elderly. I believe in walking on the outside of the sidewalk when walking with the opposite sex. I believe in kindness and compassion for all people--especially those with whom we don't agree. I believe that all people should appreciate where they have come from, no matter how easy or difficult the journey has been. I believe that all anI'mals and children deserve to have their innocence protected. I believe that from the tI'me we leave the womb our days are numbered therefore we should use our tI'me on earth wisely. I believe that everyone should be cared for when they are sick. I believe in being the happiest person in the graveyard, not the wealthiest. Have you ever seen a hearse pulling a U-Haul?, I believe that creativity and curiosity is what gives us the ability to see the humanity in others. I believe that good grammar and good manners are sorely lacking in this day and age. I believe in taking care of kids even if they're not yours (it does take a village). I believe our family and friends are a far better barometer of how to spend our energy in this world than our politicians and government. I believe anything we do in this life is OK, as long as we do not hurt another living soul. my passions ... kriya, Playing guitar, The Rocky Mountains, Camping (Lake Superior, Canadian wilderness, Glacier National Park), Hiking, Spelunking (Caving: Camp Gulf, Esby, Snail shell, Indian Mound, etc. ), Gardening/planting flowers, Monthly road trips to L. A. Candlelight bubble baths, It's a Wonderful Life, Music festivals, Museums, A good book, The Denver Zoo and Butterfly Pavilion, Spine chilling movies, Thunderstorms and sunsets, Spring showers, Special K before bed (and sometI'mes fruitloops! lol!), Horses, Country roads and British motorcycles, Christmas shopping (in Chicago on Michigan ave!), Eclipses, Ferries, Cruises, The colors of fall (Especially in Vermont!), Snuggling on a cold wintry night, by the fire watching the snowfall. Long johns (For when i don't have anyone to snuggle with! lol!), University of Kentucky Basketball (My alma mater), Snowball fights (Only when i can out run my adversaries! lol!), Europe (Especially Scotland and the U. K. ), Picnics (With a GREAT bottle of chardonnay!), A beautiful woman, The theatre, Art galleries, Music - all types. Blues, reggae, jazz, rock-n-roll, Celtic, folk, classical and so on, Weddings, Victorian homes (probably should have purchased a condo! lol!), Auctions and estate sales (Even yard sales but sssssshh! don't tell anyone! lol!), Holidays with family and friends, Nice teeth, Stargazing on a cool summer evening (With another bottle of Chardonnay! lol!), The Andy Griffith Show (black and white only!), Exploring old cemeteries and abandoned houses, Whitewater rafting, A cup of coffee and the sunday paper, Skinny dipping in a wild mountain stream, Antiques, Making love in the rain, holding hands, My three GSD rescues (Quentin, Whitmore and Mr Kobe. -> "the worthless ones!" lol!), Kindness and love - giving unto others and asking for nothing in return (Kriya!), Well the list can go on and on but I will stop here. Why do I feel this is rather complex? I like to do things on the spur of the moment, yet I like things that are planned and scheduled, too. I enjoy being around people, laughing, talking, but I also enjoy quietly sitting at a park, relaxing on a porch, strolling along country settings or down village streets. I like going to the movies and watching them on TV. I love musicals on stage, like to go see sporting events, and I often get into a picture-taking mood. I love, love, love music! All kinds. So, I sing in choruses, listen to music at home and in the car, and try to attend concerts when I can. I used to be a travel agent, so it's understandable that I like to travel, but I'm just as content sightseeing and exploring the many things that closer areas have to offer. Being outdoors is wonderful and being home is wonderful. I think I have a pretty good sense of humor, a witty pundit is how I think I will describe myself. Oh, I am many pounds overweight ... I guess you can say that I'm quite fluffy. This also says that I'm not particularly athletic, but I have no problem with dancing, going for walks, splashing around in the water, bowling, playing yard games, and things like that. I do love to snuggle ... you know, cuddle up. I like people who are not afraid of affection, who are honest, and who are not overly controlling. I'm not interested in anyone who is inconsiderate of others or people who are selfish/self-centered or mean-tempered ... I like people who have a blend of different personalities, strengths ... and even some weaknesses, after all, we're all human. I should stop talking now ... enough already! So, I'll just wrap it up by saying ... I'm old enough to be sensible, sincere, and responsible, yet still young enough to live, laugh, and love!
