I like to think that I am witty, intellectual, and unusual. Not TOO unusual, however. Witty? I read an essay which claI'med that "A man will sooner admit to false teeth or wearing a wig than he will to not having a sense of humor. " But be warned: if you don't like goofiness you won't like me. I once demonstrated to friends in a restaurant how novice bullfighters are first tried out on chickens. (The brave matador stands in the ring waving his cape and shouting "Pollo! Pollo!" You didnt think beginners were started out on bulls, did you?) Also, whether my sense of humor comes out into the light depends on how comfortable I am with the person I'm with. Intellectual? I hold an advanced professional degree. Friends have told me "Be positive!" when it comes to writing a profile. "Don't say that you don't like sports, " they tell me. But what other way is there to get this across? ("I like things that aren't sports"? "I like un-sport-like things"?) My friends also told me not to say that I do not like the outdoors. But I feel I must say that since so many women's profiles say they're looking for a partner for hiking, camping, getting eaten by bears, etc. My own opinion is that nature is best appreciated through the window of a moving car. I do like anI'mals, though. I've also been told "Don't say that you don't believe in God. " That's not quite accurate. I neither believe nor disbelieve; I'm an agnostic. So, I guess this is where I tell you a little bit about me and who I am. I actually live in the big town of Alma. I have been married one tI'me, for about fourteen years. I have two beautiful girls, ages eleven and nine. I have been divorced for about three years now and I share joint custody with my girls. As for my family, My mom and dad are still married today, and have been for about 44 years. I am the middle of three kids, I have one older sister and one younger brother. For fun ... well, I am a pretty adventurous person. I love just about anything to do with the outdoors. I like to go to the lake, either for a little fishing or to just spend the day on the water relaxing or pulling the kids around on the tube. I also like to scuba dive. I like to travel, of course the beach is a favorite spot, as well as the mountains ... Jackson Hole, Wyoming is one of my favorite places. When I'm there, I always try to get in a little snow skiing, which is also one of the many things I love to do. I also like going to Vegas or Chicago, for a weekend getaway. I like to ride horses and try to get in a little golf every now and then as well. I also like to work out and ride my bicycle for exercise. I love to hang out with family and friends and I also like to cook, either for that special someone in my life or for a group of family and friends ... not saying that I am a chef or anything like that, Lol. I love music ... country, rock, as well as some pop, blues and jazz; old, new, it really doesn't matter. I really like going out and catching little live bands. I am an old fashion, true romantic at heart. I do NOT believe that chivalry is a thing of the past. I grew up with rules, morals and a christian faith, as well as being taught how to honor and respect a lady. I am also a very optI'mistic person and I love to laugh. I am country at heart, boots and Wranglers are my normal attire. Trust is a huge thing to me ... Trust, must be protected. It must be given respect. It must be honored and treated with great value, and it should never be taken for granted. Trust isn't attained by wishing and wanting, it must be earned by actions. Being trustworthy requires integrity, promise-keeping and loyalty. To be trusted, one has to be perceived as being trustworthy. That means being totally honest, even on little things and especially when one may have to pay a high price. Trustworthiness is more than telling the truth ... it requires conveying the truth. So ...
