I am an educated, well traveled, seasoned gentleman who has enjoyed a wonder filled life, and looking forward to the next season. As for my "Religion" detail, I have selected "Other". My spiritual journey has followed the Native American path. Ours is a way of life ~ a walk, that is more about how to live in harmony and in spirit than a set of prescribed doctrines or dogma. I have 'walked' with a Native American Elder from the Creek Indian Tribe for three years now, and am honored and blessed to have received his wisdom. I do not do church, in the sense of Baptist, Methodist, etc. Find me beside a mountain stream, on Sunday morning, and you have found me in my Sanctuary, prayerfully meditating, and offering my prayers to the Great Spirit, Creator God, Grandfather. I live a sI'mple life, have recently 'downsized' significantly, and have few, if any attachments to stuff or things. I rather like it that way. In this chapter of my life, I am more about magic and miracles than material and matter. I am passionate about music. I play guitars, piano, harmonica, dulcI'mer, and, most recently, Native American Wood Flute. I compose much of my music, performing with solo guitar and bands. I am an avid photographer and writer. Yes, I am somewhat of a right-brained artsy kind of guy though very grounded and purposeful. My personal mantra might sum it best: I would rather dance upon the Stage of Disappointed, than die, front-row center of Never Knew. Yes, that one is original to me. My library, my iPod is a bit bi-polar ~ I read and enjoy almost everything, though mostly non-fiction, and something from which I can learn and grow. Favorite authors include Dr. Wayne Dyer, Depak Chopra, Eckhart Tolle, etc. Recent interests have found me reading books, articles, literature focusing on food safety, food production and farming. Three most noted authors are, Bill Mollison, Michael Pollan, Joel Salatin. I like most movies, though not into horror or extreme violence. I am not into Rap, and not too fond of Hip-Hop. I watch very little TV (in fact, I don't even have one), and enjoy most all foods ~ my Dad was Sicilian Italian, so, of course good old world Italian food is always close at heart.
